Certain models are also more difficult to fold and store than others, making them less convenient. Graco FastAction 3 in 1 Car Seat Stroller is difficult to fold because of its massive dimensions and bulky frames. Some reviewers have also found the canopy on this model disappointing. The Britax Parkway Combo Click and Go is simple to fold down with a push of a button and a pull of the lever. This model is a fantastic choice for parents who want to use their car seat in the other cars, as it is able to be removed from the base.
Easy to Fold
If you're storing your car seat on its own, in the trunk of your vehicle or even in a closet, it should be easy to fold and unfold. 2 in 1 carrycot and pushchair 've tested fold easily with just one hand and are strong enough to withstand long walks. They're also simple to move, sliding smoothly over uneven surfaces and bumps. We've seen a few combinations that can only be attached or removed using straps, which may seem like an extra step and make it difficult for parents to secure the car seat correctly.
We are awestruck by the BOB Revolution Flex 3.0 Combo due to its practical features and sturdy construction, which include a large storage basket that is accessible from the front to back. Its exclusive SafeCenter LATCH makes it simple to achieve a secure car seat installation by connecting the lower anchors and pulling the straps tight and clicking the carrier into the base.
It's also fairly light which makes it a great choice for families or frequent travelers who have multiple vehicles. Both the Baby Jogger City Mini GT 2 Combo, and the Thule Urban Glide 2 scored highly in our ease of use tests. Both come with a single wheel that is easy to push with just one hand. Both have a single front wheel which is easy to push (one-handed!). They also come with a versatile swing wheel, which is ideal for shopping or running errands. The only downside is that they're quite heavy and may be difficult to lift when a baby is in car seats.
Easy to Assemble
Some car seat and stroller combinations can be difficult to put together. We discovered that the UPPAbaby Cruz v2 Combo was one of the easiest to build, and it comes with a handy quick-start guide which makes putting this system together easy. Other models we tested like the UPPAbaby Minu, UPPAbaby Vista v2, Thule Urban Glide 2 and Baby Trend Snap-N-Go EX Universal were also easy to assemble. The BOB Revolution Flex 3.0 Combo however is a bit difficult to put together. It requires two steps to attach the lower anchors as well as using straps that protect the bottom of the carrier. It's heavy, which means it requires two people to click the carrier into the base, and then remove it.
In our tests, we took about 5 minutes to assemble the UPPAbaby v2 Cruz. This is a quick procedure when you consider the time saved by not having to remove all the individual pieces. The toddler seat can be attached and removed easily on the majority of these models.
